How to Add or Claim Your Hotfrog Business Listing

Hotfrog might just be the secret sauce your business needs to boost its local SEO game. Launched in 2005, this business directory started in Australia and now spans over 40 countries, from the U.S. to the U.K. and beyond. Whether you're looking to build citations, improve your online visibility, or simply add another notch to your digital marketing belt, getting your business listed on Hotfrog is a no-brainer.

Step 1: Navigate Hotfrog Like a Pro

First things first—head over to Hotfrog. You’ll notice a little flag icon at the top right corner of the homepage. Click it, and you’ll be greeted by a pop-up showing all the country variants of Hotfrog. Whether you’re in Spain, India, or Germany, this guide’s got you covered.

For simplicity, we’ll be using the U.S. version, but these steps apply no matter where you are.

Step 2: Create a Hotfrog Account

If you don’t already have a Hotfrog account, now’s the time to create one.

  1. Go to Hotfrog.com.

  2. Click the “Log In” button in the top right corner.

  3. On the next page, if you don’t have an account, click the yellow “Sign Up” button at the bottom.

  4. Fill in your details and click “Get started.”

  5. Check your email for a verification link. Click it, set your password, and boom—you’re in!

Step 3: Claim an Existing Business Listing

From Your Account Dashboard

  1. Log in to your Hotfrog account.

  2. On your dashboard, choose the “Search Now” option.

  3. Enter your business name or relevant keywords and location, then hit search.

  4. If your business shows up, click the orange “Claim” button next to it.

  5. Hotfrog will offer you an upgrade—feel free to skip this if you’re sticking to the basics.

  6. Verify your profile by selecting the appropriate option, agreeing to the T&Cs, and clicking “Verify Now.”

  7. Once verified, you can start updating your business info and making it shine.

From the Main Page

  1. Go to Hotfrog.com and search for your business directly.

  2. If you spot your business in the results, click “Claim this business.”

  3. Follow the same verification steps as mentioned above.

Step 4: Add a Brand New Business Listing

From Your Account Dashboard

  1. If your business isn’t listed on Hotfrog, click the “Add a Business” button on your dashboard.

  2. Fill in the required details and click “Find address.”

  3. Complete the additional fields like business categories, contact details, and website URL.

  4. After filling everything out, hit “Submit Profile.”

  5. Hotfrog will ask you to verify your listing—just like we covered in Step 3.

From the Main Page

  1. Go to Hotfrog.com and click “Add Business” in the top right corner.

  2. Log in or create a new account if you haven’t done so already.

  3. Follow the same steps to build your profile as described above.
