This year, the GMB Fox team in the Philippines has embraced this philosophy wholeheartedly by reaching out to those in their community who are less fortunate. With big hearts and a genuine desire to help, they set out to bring smiles to the faces of residents in Barangay Pinatilan, one of the most underserved areas in Valencia City.
The idea sprouted back in July when one of our customer support agents, Susan Guinto, participated in a local feeding program, serving champorado to children in need. This experience sparked a conversation between Susan and Myles Andersen, GMB Fox's Founder & CEO. They recognized a golden opportunity to make a difference during the holiday season, and what began as a casual discussion soon transformed into a full-fledged mission.
“I’m incredibly proud of what our team accomplished,” Myles said. “When we realized we could use our holiday funds for something much bigger, the excitement was palpable.”
Planning the Christmas Gift-Giving Event
With enthusiasm and determination, the GMB Fox team—comprising over 40 agents and managers—chose Barangay Pinatilan as their focus for the gift-giving initiative. The local officials played a crucial role, going door-to-door to assess the number of children in the area and distribute invitations to the upcoming event. This collaborative effort set the stage for an unforgettable day of joy and togetherness.
Utilizing funds initially earmarked for their Christmas party, team members generously donated their personal resources, raising enough to gift presents to 342 children in the community. As the day of the event approached, the GMB Fox team sprang into action, waking up at the crack of dawn to transport supplies, set up decorations, and create a festive atmosphere for the children.
A Day Filled with Joy
On the day of the event, the children were greeted with gift boxes filled with slippers, bags, and watches. Two team members even donned Santa Claus costumes, bringing an extra layer of magic to the day as they distributed "loot bags" brimming with treats. And what’s a celebration without food? The GMB Fox team made sure to serve a delightful lunch that included ice cream for dessert, ensuring everyone left with full bellies and happy hearts.
In addition to the gifts, families received Noche Buena packs, complete with all the ingredients needed for a festive spaghetti dinner. After all, in Filipino culture, a Christmas Eve feast is not complete without this beloved dish.
Creating Lasting Memories

Witnessing their smiles and knowing that they experienced a moment of happiness was the highlight of the day for the GMB Fox team. “We’ve never felt more united than when we all came together to make this event a success,” Susan shared, encapsulating the camaraderie that this initiative fostered within the team.
